Sacks Morasha were delighted to be able to throw their annual Yom Haatzmaut Extravaganza this year. The atmosphere was overflowing with games including a lucky dip, penalty shoot out and of course pie face with the teachers as willing volunteers. There was also lots of bouncing around on inflatable and a delicious Barbecue! It was joyous to see children’s faces light up with excitement as they filled out into the playground.
Sacks Morasha pupils were privileged to be included in the Yom HaShoah commemoration event on Wednesday night. The first in-person event for Holocaust Memorial with survivors since the start of the pandemic. Pupils from their year 5 class, along with Deputy Head and Head of Kodesh Justin Kett sang together with the Shabbaton choir and 3 other Jewish Primary schools. Justin Kett said:
‘Our participation this evening was crucial in giving the children who participated, and those watching at home, the experience of zachor, of remembering the past to commit to a better future.’
