During the two lockdowns and throughout the pandemic we have worked hard at Sacks Morasha to continue to educate our pupils through our remote home learning provision whilst at the same time supporting our Key Worker Provision as well. Please see our Covid Page for our Covid 19 Guidance as well as our Remote Home Learning Policy .
From March 2021 we have continued to ensure high quality teaching and learning together with pastoral care and support for all our pupils. Curriculum has been reviewed and catch up programmes have been put into place for all areas of the Curriculum. One to one extra support exists for those pupils who have struggled during lockdown, who have not made as much progress as they normally would or for those who are struggling with the return to school and not being at home.
Our Summer Term has been exciting and fulfilling so far with emphasis remaining on our core subjects with particular focus on writing in the second half of the summer term. Our extensive Intervention Programme running for all children from 8:18-8:45 am is focusing in most classes on supporting writing with Fluency Friday continuing on Fridays for basic maths skills.
Catch up premium funding
At Sacks Morasha Jewish Primary School we have received £9,430 from the DFE. We have used the National catch-up premium to help provide:
- Additional staffing in Year 2 to support children’s teaching and learning. ( See in-house data)
- IT equipment so every child in KS2 can have a functioning IPad to support with their teaching and learning.
