We held our inaugural Tu B’shvat Seder for children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 in school. It was a fantastic morning for the children to appreciate the traditional fruits for this festival. Rabbi Lawrence spoke to the children and they also participated in a fun activity.
Year 5 Face Paint
Year 5 were learning about animals this week. As part of their learning they experimented with face paints and adopted different animal types facially as well as with bodily movements.
Wild Science
Pupils recently enjoyed a visit from Wild Science. They brought an array of different animals, from the warm and cuddly to the slippery and silky. Children were able to stroke and touch a rabbit, snake, centipede, burrowing cockroach and a frog. They listened to a talk about the different animals and asked lots of questions.
Fifth best primary school in Barnet!
We’re delighted to announce that Sacks Morasha has been ranked the fifth best primary school out of 97 in the London Borough of Barnet in the SATS league table, and the second best Jewish primary school. This is especially remarkable given that this is only our second class to graduate.
We’re extremely proud of these students, now in Year 7 at a range of state and private schools, including City of London Boys, Haberdashers’ Aske’s Girls and Boys, JFS, Hasmonean and Immanuel College. Our thanks go to their fantastic team of teachers and the senior leadership.
Under-9 Chess Tournament
We had two teams of four children compete in an inter-school chess tournament at Lyonsdown School. Our A-team brought home the tournament trophy, coming first. Our B-team performed brilliantly too and came third.
