Children from Year 2 had an interesting visit to the Foundling Museum in London. The museum explores the history of the Foundling Hospital, the UK’s first children’s charity. Tying in to the history curriculum, the children learnt about life in the Foundling Hospital during the reign of Queen Victoria.

Pesach experiences
Tzivos Hashem’s Matzah Workshop recently came to school to teach children in Reception and Year 1 about the art of matzah baking and the many lessons that come with it. We were delighted to join forces with Jewish Care’s Rubens House, the local care home to our school. Young and old had much fun making their own matzah and it was lovely to see the different generations working together.
Ragged School Museum
Children in Year 5 recently travelled back to Victorian times and endured a school day at The Ragged School Museum in London’s East End. Dressed in Victorian school clothes, the children learnt and experienced what it was like being a child in Victorian times. It was a fantastic trip and enjoyed by all those who attended.
Sedarim
We had a lot of fun celebrating Pesach in school with our pupils. The children spent time focussing on different parts of the Haggadah and engaging in a variety of activities ranging from learning from Pasukim and Divrei Torah, to stories and songs that they should be able to share with you around the Seder table.
We also held a fun Pesach experience for Years 3 – 4, as well as Seder experiences for the remainder of the school. Children and parents came together to enjoy an enhanced version of the Pesach model Seder to reflect their learning and understanding of the Seder, as well as engaging in singing, games and presentations from the children.
There was a fantastic atmosphere throughout the school in the lead up to Pesach and we really enjoyed sharing it with everyone that came.
