On Monday morning Sacks Morasha held a special Tefillah service led by Honorary Principal, Rabbi Jeremy Lawrence and included teachers, pupils and almost 100 parents via zoom, to join together in light of the loss we are all sharing on the incredibly sad news of the untimely passing of Emeritus Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks (HaRav Ya’akov Zvi ben David Arieh z’tl).
As part of this commemorative service, readings were given in Rabbi Sacks’ memory led by founding parents of the school. We were fortunate that he visited our school on many occasions and on each visit he passed on his wisdom and insights to our pupils and teachers. Sacks Morasha feel truly honoured that the school bears the ‘Sacks’ name and know that his inspiring words and teachings will continue to enlighten our pupils for many years to come.
These pictures are from 2013 when we welcomed Rabbi Sacks, then Chief Rabbi to our new building to officially open the school and put up our Mezuzah. The photos of that day remain on view in our entrance hall.
