Science is an awe-inspiring, mind blowing subject and we ensure that it is taught in that way. As Sacks Morasha, we instil a sense of wonder and amazement in our pupils.
Teachers use hands on science enquiry, as much as possible in their lessons, with an emphasis on curiosity, questioning and vocabulary. Investigations and experiments provide pupils with the skills and knowledge that will be valuable beyond science and into their everyday lives.
Children at Sacks Morasha are inquisitive and curious learners therefore they see how science can be used to explain events, predict how things behave and analyse causes. Within our spiral curriculum, which is guided by the National curriculum, some topics are built on year by year, giving teachers the opportunity to progress vocabulary, concepts and knowledge.
The intent for Science at Sacks Morasha Jewish Primary School is to give children sticky learning opportunities through weekly lessons, via investigations and practical activities making learning fun and memorable.
